For example, a 32-inch waist typically needs a 34 or 35-inch belt. For ratchet and slider belts, these typically have a continuous adjustment system requiring only a maximum length measurement rather than a precise size — choose the longest option that fits within your measured range for maximum adjustment flexibility.

A well-fitting baseball cap sits level on the head with the brim straight or with a slight downward curve at the sides. It should sit comfortably about 2–3 finger-widths above the eyebrows — high enough to see clearly, low enough to shade the eyes. The cap should feel secure without gripping tightly enough to leave marks or cause discomfort after extended wearing. Adjustable snapback and velcro closures allow fine-tuning for individual head shapes. The crown should maintain its shape without collapsing — a structured cap that holds its shape reads as significantly more polished than a floppy, shapeless one.

Never machine-wash a baseball cap with a structured brim — the heat and agitation will permanently warp the brim's shape. Hand-wash the cap in cold water with mild soap, using a soft brush for the sweatband and any soiled areas. Rinse thoroughly. To maintain the crown's shape during drying, stuff the interior with a clean towel or place the cap over a bowl of approximately the same size as the head. Air dry completely in a well-ventilated space out of direct sunlight — direct sun causes colour fading in cotton caps. Allow 24 hours to dry completely before wearing.
