Always check your specific airline's current cabin baggage policy before travel — size and weight limits vary significantly between carriers. Most full-service airlines allow approximately 55cm x 40cm x 20cm and 7–10kg for cabin bags. Budget airlines often have stricter policies on both dimensions and weight. Check the individual product's dimensions against your airline's requirements. A bag in a dark, neutral colour (black or navy) that works in both casual and professional contexts is the most versatile choice for mixed-use short trips.

After every trip: empty the bag completely including all internal pockets (forgotten items left in bags cause staining and odour over time). Wipe the interior with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove crumbs, dust, and any spills. Spot-clean exterior marks with a damp cloth and mild soap before they set. Leave all zips open and allow the bag to air completely in a ventilated space for 24 hours before storage — particularly important after humid destinations. Store the bag hanging or upright with a few sheets of tissue paper inside to maintain the compartment structure. Never store a damp or dirty travel bag — moisture causes mildew that permanently damages the lining and creates persistent odour.
